EX-NMB48 and currently active Yoshimotozaka46 member Miaki Riho (also known as Ripopo) announced on 23 March 2020 that she has married the active doctor and her Yoshimotozaka46 colleague SHUN SHUN CLINIC P. Fans, colleagues and press have congratulated the couple on their engagement. The structure of the idol group Yoshimotozaka46 makes something possible that is taboo with other idol groups and usually ends in a scandal. Here, however, they are celebrating. Miaki Riho thus also fulfills her mother’s wish and with her marriage she can cast off her long-standing image of a poor idol. Since she wants to concentrate on her new family for the time being, she also announced that she will graduate from Yoshimotozaka46 and her agency Showtime. She will attend the next Yoshimotozaka46 handshake event to say goodbye to her fans, but due to the current Corona crisis, a date has not yet been set.
