Maeda Ami appointed ambassador of the ISS HTV9 supply mission
The Japanese space agency JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) has appointed EX-AKB48 Maeda Ami, who is also involved in the “Minna no Space Project”, as ambassador for the current supply mission to the International Space Station ISS with the H-II Transfer Vehicle HTV9 (Kounotori 9 Unit). The capsule was launched on 21 May 2020 and on 25 May 2020, the capsule was successfully captured by the ISS.
