AKB48 Group joins SOS47 in the fight against "Grandparent Scams"
The Japanese idol groups AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48 and STU48 have joined Japanese actor Sugi Ryotaro’s fight against the “Grandparent Scam” in Japan. Sugi Ryotaro has gathered a group of celebrities as supporters of the fight against the “Grandparent Scam” under the name “SOS47: Operation Family Ties” (SOS47: Stop OreOre Scam 47) to inform the older generation about this telephone trick. AKB48 Soukantoku Mukaichi Mion and AKB48 Team K member Muto Tomu, representing AKB48 Group, received the certificate of appointment in the presence of SOS47 members.
