Nogizaka46 donates proceeds from charity single
Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 has donated all proceeds from its charity single “Sekaiju no Rinjin yo” (Neighbors Around the World) to the Japanese Red Cross. The single, which was released on 17 June 2020, has raised 8,116,178 yen from download, streaming and licensing rights through 31 December 2021. Nogizaka46 rounded it up to 10 million yen.
With “Sekaiju no Rinjin yo” (Neighbors Around the World), Nogizaka46 thanks all the people who are fighting against COVID-19. All active Nogizaka46 members and 11 former members (Ikoma Rina, Ichiki Rena, Ito Karin, Eto Misa, Saito Chiharu, Saito Yuuri, Sagara Iori, Sakurai Reika, Nishino Nanase, Noujo Ami, Wakatsuki Yumi) participated in the song and video, which the members recorded in their home office. The video was published on YouTube.
