The Duesseldorf Wunderkind leaves Nogizaka46
#乃木坂46, #生田絵梨花 – The Duesseldorf born Nogizaka46 Wunderkind, Ikuta Erika, has announced her graduation from the Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 via her blog on 25 October 2021. She will leave the group on 31 December 2021. A graduation concert will be held before the end of December 2021.
Ikuta Erika is considered the group’s musical wunderkind. Her productions for Nogizaka46’s concerts regularly delighted fans. Outside the group, she made a name for herself with roles in well-known musical productions such as Les Misérables, Mozart!, Happily Ever After and many more. Through her talent on the piano, she was selected to play the departure melody for Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, and her piano version of the popular Nogizaka46 song “Kimi no Na wa Kibo” now regularly announces the departure of trains. In 2014, she was named the center of Nogizaka46’s 10th single “Nandome no Aozora ka?” after a short academic break. Furthermore, she is considered one of the faces of the group because of her wit and charm alongside EX-Nogizaka46 member Shiraishi Mai. Her two photobooks Tencho (2016) and Intermission (2019) became bestsellers.
