AKB48 goes into the new Season with mixed Cards

#AKB48 – On 8 December 2021, the traditional 16th anniversary special performance of Japanese idol group AKB48 was held in AKB48 Theater. During the performance, the new team lineup was also announced. This long “shuffle” tradition of the group serves the purpose of refreshing the team structure and trying new combinations. The lineup of all teams A,K,B and 4 were changed. Team 8 continues to maintain its special role as the representative of the 47 prefectures of Japan, but Team 8 members are assigned to the other four teams as Kennin members. The change to the new teams will take place on 6 February 2022 with the “AKB48 New Team’s Concert” at the Tokyo Garden Theater. The old team will say goodbye the day before with the “AKB48 Current Team’s Last Concert” at the same venue. 

The new team captains are: Mukaichi Mion (Team A), Taguchi Manaka (Team K), Asai Nanami (Team B) and Kuranoo Narumi (Team 4). The new team structure is as follows:
