AKB48 introduced 17th Generation
#AKB48, #17期生 – Japanese idol group AKB48 unveiled its new 17th Generation on 4 May 2022. Five and a half years after the 16th Generation, 11 new AKB48 Kenkyuusei join the group. AKB48 Soukantoku Mukaichi Mion, Team 4 member Murayama Yuiri and AKB48 original member Kashiwagi Yuki introduced the new Kenkyuusei to the public during a press conference in the AKB48 Theater. This is the first AKB48 generation with members who were not yet born at the time of AKB48’s founding.
