Seijin no Hi 2023: Nogizaka46 “The Pyonpyon Generation”
#乃木坂46 – Six members of the Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 are celebrating their coming of age (Seijin no Hi) this year. Traditionally, the members make a pilgrimage to Nogi-jinja in Tokyo for this purpose, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The five members Nakanishi Aruno, Yakubo Mio, Itou Riria, Shibata Yuna and Ikeda Teresa appeared this year in gorgeous furisodes (kimono version for unmarried women) on their way to the shrine to receive the blessing. However, Kakehashi Sayaka was unable to attend the ceremony due to her injury.
Nogizaka46 member Ito Riria, who led the group this year, in response to the traditional question about the name of the generation: “Now that all the senior members have graduated from Nogizaka46, it is time for the younger generation to jump into the spotlight. We are the “Nogizaka Pyonpyon Generation”.
