For the past three years, fans have experienced concerts and theater performances without live audiences. The all-important handshake events were replaced with online events. Although many things were allowed again over time, the most important elements such as the join-in singing, the mix, and the handshake event were still prohibited. This time is coming to an end. The Sakamichi series and first groups of the AKB48 Group allow cheering, singing along and mixing at its performances and concerts, but a mask must still be worn and visitors must be symptomless. Osaka-based idol group NMB48 has also announced the start of the handshake and photo events with the upcoming 4th album.
