This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Japanese idol groups of AKB48 Group celebrated the day separately. The Seijin no Hi ceremony for the five new adults of STU48 was held in a small setting at Gokoku Jinja in Hiroshima on 2 May 2021. Watanabe Natsuki as the eldest, when asked how she would describe this generation, explained, &#8220;From analog to digital, from mobile to smartphones, from heisei to reiwa, from 4G to 5G, from tadpoles to frogs. We are a generation that has experienced changing times.
