AKB48 announces E-Sport Event

The Japanese idol group AKB48 will hold an e-sports tournament on 23 November 2020 via the Japanese streaming channel OPENREC.tv. 100 members of the group will compete in teams in the online games Puyo Puyo Champions, Minna De Hayaoshi Quiz, Blue Demon Online, The AKB48’s Dobon! and Knives Out. AKB48 founding member Minegishi Minami will host the event from the studio together with the comedy duo NON STYLE. Selected members of all five AKB48 teams will provide for entertainment during breaks in the studio.
