TOYOTA no longer main sponsor of AKB48 Team 8
The management of the Japanese idol group AKB48 announced on 22 March 2021 that there have been changes in the support system. One of the most important changes is that the long-time main sponsor TOYOTA is no longer the main sponsor. To what extent TOYOTA has withdrawn as sponsor of AKB48 Team 8 was not announced. This change has an impact on the domain of Team 8, which will be www.akb48team8.jp and the official name in the future. “Team 8 supported by TOYOTA” will become “AKB48 TEAM 8”.
