Kashiwagi Yuki takes break for Spinal Cord Treatment
#AKB48 – AKB48 member Kashiwagi Yuki has announced that she is taking a break from all activities for spinal cord treatment. Kashiwagi Yuki, who has been suffering from left-sided numbness in her arm and leg since November, underwent an examination and MRI scan during the medical show “Shuji Ga Mitsukaru Shinryo Sho.” She was diagnosed with syringomyelia a cavity development in the spinal cord. Syringomyelia is relatively rare. Symptoms occur in young adults between 20 and 40 years of age and can lead to paralysis.
Kashiwagi Yuki announced that she will take a break from all activities with AKB48, i.e. AKB48 THE AUDISHOW and all performances, for the treatment. Furthermore, her birthday concert in July 2021 will be postponed. She also needs to pause her cooperation with WACK for a joint single with seven WACK groups.
